One Miami Weekend features the Love.Honor. Care game, an initiative that raises funds to benefit local cancer patients.

Free tickets for Miami employees and families to One Miami Weekend Feb. 14-15

To say thank you, Miami University President Greg and Dr. Renate Crawford are inviting Miami employees and their families to attend Miami basketball and/or hockey games Feb. 14-15, at no cost.

One Miami Weekend also features Love.Honor.Care, an initiative of Miami athletics spearheaded by Miami women’s basketball to raise funds for Luna Cares, which benefits local cancer patients.

The Crawfords want to show their gratitude and appreciation for employees’ commitment, dedication and exceptional service and celebrate being “One Miami” by bringing together all campuses for the special weekend, presented by Mercy Health.

Faculty, staff and their families will receive free admission and parking to the Miami basketball doubleheader on Feb. 15, and also free admission to one of the Feb. 14-15 Miami hockey games.

Employees may request complimentary tickets for their immediate family for basketball. One ticket gains entrance to BOTH basketball games. Starting at noon and then again between games, there will be a Carnival on the Concourse with inflatables, games and activities for our younger fans.

Faculty and staff may choose to attend one of the hockey games, whichever night fits best into their schedule. A maximum of two complimentary tickets will be provided to faculty/staff for them and their family.

Additional tickets may be purchased at the group rate of $20 per ticket. All available reserved seats will be filled before standing room only tickets are distributed and will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Love.Honor.Care game

The Love.Honor.Care game, sponsored by Western & Southern Financial Group, is Saturday, Feb. 15. In the past five years, Miami has raised more than $120,000 through this initiative.

Miami women’s basketball hosts Ohio University in a Battle of the Bricks game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, for the Love.Honor.Care game, and 100% of the money raised from the game goes to Luna Cares. The men’s basketball game follows.

Besides reserving tickets and attending the game, you can support the Love.Honor.Care fundraising efforts by purchasing an apparel item, taking part in the silent auction on gameday, funding a wellness basket for newly diagnosed patients, or making a monetary donation of any amount.
