Deforestation. Agriculture. Nutrient deficiency. Birds across the country are facing huge challenges to survival.

Dave Russell, Miami University associate teaching professor and master bird bander, is working to change that through his research at the Hueston Woods State Park–Avian Research and Education Institute Bird Banding Station.
