Lecture Series: Tim Gunn, "Fashioning Life's Lessons: Make it Work"

tim-gunnTim Gunn, fashion and television personality, will present "Fashioning Life's Lessons: Make it Work" at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9, in Hall Auditorium. His talk is the final lecture in the Miami University 2014-2015 Lecture Series

Gunn is chief creative officer at Liz Claiborne Inc. and co-host of Lifetime TV’s “Project Runway,” where his signature catchphrase, "Make it work," has made him a fan favorite.

He received a Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program.

Gunn was a faculty member at Parsons The New School for Design from 1982 to 2007. He was chair of fashion design at the school from 2000 to 2007, when he left to take over as creative director for Liz Claiborne.

He is author of A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style. As an actor and voice actor he has made appearances on a variety of television shows and also provides the voice of Baileywick, the castle steward in the Disney Junior television show "Sofia the First."

Free tickets are available to the Miami community starting Wednesday, March 4, and to the general public starting Friday, March 6, at the Miami University box office.
