Updated campus health information

Feb. 2 Update: Test results from the CDC were negative for the two students who were tested Monday, Jan. 27, for possible infection with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus. Health officials at a Sunday news conference said there are still NO confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Butler County or the state of Ohio.

Jan. 31 Update: Miami University continues to monitor the health status of two students whose mild symptoms and recent travel met the criteria for being tested Monday, Jan. 27, for possible infection with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus. Both students remained isolated in off-campus residences until their test results come back. We supported them and their needs during this time. Officials expressed gratitude that the students proactively went early to student health services. 
 
The university has activated the Miami Institutional Response Team (IRT) and has been in frequent contact with the Butler County Health District and Ohio Department of Health. A university call center will be open Monday to answer general questions (513-529-9000).
