Annual Undergraduate Research Forum April 29: Join online for more than 300 presentations

urf-keyword-listThe annual Undergraduate Research Forum continues its 26th year on Wednesday, April 29, in an online event format.

More than 500 students are participating with more than 300 poster or oral presentations. Their research or creative projects were conducted through an independent study project, as part of a class or a service-learning project.

Joyce Fernandes, director of undergraduate research and professor of biology, said the online format of the Undergraduate Research Forum provides several new opportunities for engaging the wider university community.

  • The event website, 26th Annual Undergraduate Research Forumis available now to preview research projects. It includes brief descriptions and “gallery walks” of PowerPoint images from poster presentations.
  • Keyword search features (example at right) can be used to browse projects.
  • The schedule includes links to join presentations on WebEx.

To help students prepare for the new format, a series of workshops was offered by University Libraries, Center for Career Exploration and Success and Student Disability Services.

The online event format was made possible with support from IT Service and eLearning Miami.
