New transfer partnership opens door to Miami for Columbus State students
Miami University in Oxford is now partnering with Columbus State Community College to offer students a new transfer option. The partnership between the two institutions provides students with a direct and guaranteed path.

Innovative student internships supported by new scholars program

Miami University welcomes NAACP president Sept. 25
Benjamin Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP, visits Miami University Wednesday, Sept. 25, for a lecture at 5 p.m. in 102 Benton Hall. “The Civil Rights Movement and the Humanities” is open to the public.

Room and board rates up less than two percent
Miami University trustees approved raising room and board rates for the 2014-2015 academic year by 1.64 percent combined, the lowest increase in at least 18 years. For the most common room and meal plans, students will pay $11,058 per year. Other plans will also go up slightly.

Entrepreneurship program 12th best in nation
The Princeton Review has ranked Miami University's Institute for Entrepreneurship in the Farmer School of Business as one of the best - ranking it the No. 1 school with an exclusively undergraduate focus, the No. 5 public institution and overall 12th in the nation for best entrepreneurship education, up four spots from last year. The list, published in the October issue of Entrepreneur magazine, has included Miami's undergraduate entrepreneurship program for the sixth consecutive year.

Miami's accountancy programs nationally ranked
Miami University's accountancy program at the Farmer School of Business has garnered acclaim in the Public Accounting Report 32nd Annual Professors Survey-2013. This year the undergraduate program is ranked 4th among schools without doctoral programs. Among all universities, Miami's undergraduate program was ranked 18th.

Miami University celebrates the Latin American and Caribbean UniDiversity Festival Friday, Sept. 20, at the Uptown Parks in Oxford. The festival, 5:30-9 p.m., is free and open to all.
