Miami ranks #3 in nationwide list for students studying abroad
Miami University ranks #3 nationwide among public doctoral universities for undergraduate student participation in study abroad programs. The results of the just-released Open Doors 2013 report by the Institute of International Education are based on figures from the 2011-2012 academic year.

Dance Theatre winter concerts Nov. 16-17
Miami University's Dance Theatre will present a winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Gates-Abegglen Theatre, Center for Performing Arts.

Etheridge Hall dedication a tribute to a man's devotion
The dedication of Miami University's newest residence hall at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, may look more like a joyous reunion than a formal ceremony when immediate family and longtime student affairs staffers gather together at Etheridge Hall to pay tribute to the building's namesake, Robert Etheridge.

Miami University Art Museum celebrates 35 years
The Miami University Art Museum celebrates 35 years this fall. Experience the arts via a sampling display of its diverse collection of more than 16,000 works. "35@35: A Museum Collects" is on display now. Robert Wicks, museum director, lectures on the history of the collection 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Wil Haygood (Miami '76) and "The Butler," the movie inspired by his writing, kick off Celebrating Freedom
As part of a Celebrating Freedom program, Miami University is offering three free showings of the top-rated movie "The Butler" at 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Hall Auditorium.

Institute for the Environment and Sustainability receives national recognition
The Master of Environmental Science (M.En.) degree has been designated as a Professional Science Master’s program, the first graduate program at Miami University to achieve this national recognition.

Bill Richardson and William Kristol to speak at JANUS Forum
Miami University's second JANUS Forum will feature former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, also a former U.N. ambassador and presidential candidate, and Fox News panelist William Kristol, founder and editor of The Weekly Standard. They will present their opinions on "The Role of the United States in the World" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in Hall Auditorium.
