Jenn Laqualia
Biography
Jennifer (Jenn) Laqualia, Collections Manager and Registrar, joined the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum in January 2024 after working and volunteering for ten years in the archaeology field and in museums all over the United States. She was previously the Cultural Resources Specialist and Curation Manager at historic Fort Huachuca in Arizona, and has volunteered in many museums, such as George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and The Amerind Foundation.
As the Collections Manager and Registrar, Jenn is responsible for the continuity of care for works of art under RCCAM’s stewardship, for receiving and managing objects on loan, as well as managing acquisition and deaccessioning procedures. Jenn also facilitates access to collections for teaching, learning and research needs and provides information to assist in the development of university classes.
Jenn has lived all over the United States, but spent much of her life in Washington, D.C. visiting the many museums there with family and friends. In addition to her passion for museums and public outreach, she is also a history buff, an advocate for DEAI and LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare.
When not at the museum, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, boxing, reading, cooking, baking, getting out into nature, playing piano and guitar, and of course, visiting other museums.
