The Miami University Regionals Excellence in Teaching Award is given each Spring semester to honor faculty members who demonstrate dedication to and excellence in teaching and who contribute to students’ creative/critical thinking and intellectual growth.
Awards are presented in two categories: full-time faculty and part-time faculty. Recipients act as the Regionals’ nominees for the Ohio Association of Two-Year Colleges (OATYC) Teacher of the Year and will be Miami Regionals’ representatives at award ceremonies conducted by the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities and by the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE). Additionally, the Center for Teaching and Learning will award professional expense funding of $750 to the two faculty award recipients.
The call for nominations will be sent via email in February.
