Learning Module Update for Workday
You may be aware that Miami University will be replacing its current legacy Banner system with Workday, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The Workday project has been charged with consolidating all university business data and processes into Workday where feasible. Within that framework, we're starting the implementation of the Workday Learning module as the centralized portal for training for Miami staff, faculty, and student employees. We recognize that some learning may need to remain housed in other platforms (e.g., Canvas) but our phase 1 goal is to incorporate many of the various Miami employee training opportunities within Workday as part of our initial deployment on July 1, 2024.
We are in the beginning phases of the Workday Learning module implementation and have reached out to learning partners across the university to involve them in configuring this module to meet their training needs. A Workday Learning Overview was held on June 15 with these learning partners to begin a discussion on bringing all that everyone has to offer into this learning module.
If you provide learning and training to employees and were not part of this event, reach out to staffdevelopment@MiamiOH.edu to discuss the benefits of Workday Learning and to become involved in our learning partner group. We want the learning module to reflect the extensive talent at Miami and be a robust tool for development.
