Title: Assistant Director
Hometown: Oxford, Ohio
High School: Talawanda
College Major(s): History, Secondary Social Studies Education
After double-majoring here at Miami University, I went on to earn a master's degree in history at Miami as well as an additional master's in history at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. While in Baltimore I taught at Friends School. I have also been a history instructor at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, and on Miami's two regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown. I moved back to Oxford 25 years ago to raise my family.
My husband and I are a Miami merger; we are both 1981 graduates. We loved Oxford and Miami as students and are very happy living here now. The community is vibrant and energetic. We enjoy attending all types of sporting, musical, and cultural events. I love being part of the history of Miami (my father taught here and I attended the elementary lab school and went to college here) as well as its future. Recruiting the next generation of alums is very rewarding.
