My path to Miami started a long time ago. Growing up in Cincinnati I made several trips to Oxford and the campus always held a special place in my heart. My studies took me to a smaller institution as I attended Denison University for my undergraduate work. Then I headed south to the “other” Miami for a Master’s degree. After a stint as a professional journalist I couldn’t escape my passion for higher education, and a job you can be passionate about is truly a blessing. Coming to Miami and heading up our on-campus visits and events has been the best move of my career. I love helping add to an incredible student body by helping prospective families see all the amazing opportunities that we have to offer. I spend my spare time with my family which includes my wonderful wife Emily, adorable twin girls Addy and Bess, and my loyal and loveable dog Boomer.
I come from a hockey family and we’ve watched hundreds of RedHawk games throughout the years. There is nothing like the incredible atmosphere that is created inside Goggin Ice Arena when the puck drops! Of course my girls were born right before my first Make it Miami event so those will always be pretty special for me as well.
