I’ve been in your shoes, and I know this decision isn’t easy. As a first generation college student, I started my Miami experience at Miami University’s Hamilton Campus. From the moment I started my education at Miami, I felt like a brand new person. I came out of my shell, and fell in love with public speaking and broadcasting. I joined student government while at Miami Hamilton, and began announcing for the athletic department. I relocated to the Oxford Campus to finish my degree, and got even more involved. I loved Miami so much that I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education, which I just finished in 2014. It’s an honor to work for my alma mater, and I’m excited to help you find out why Miami University is one of the nation’s best colleges.
Favorite Miami Moment
As an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to announce basketball games at Millett Hall. As a local kid growing up, my parents and grandparents had always brought me to RedHawk’s games, and it was so awesome to announce a big game while having my family sit in the stands. Now, I’ve announced almost every sport at Miami; from basketball and baseball, to field hockey and swimming. I really love having a sideline seat and watching our RedHawks compete!
