About

With two dozen full-time faculty members on the Oxford, Hamilton and Middletown campuses, we offer a range of coursework, research opportunities, and extra-curricular learning experiences for both Sociology and Gerontology along with seven minors (including a Disability Studies minor), five thematic sequences, four capstone courses, and a variety of independent research opportunities. For graduate students, we offer a multi-disciplinary Master's Degree in Gerontological Studies and a PhD in Social Gerontology. The Department's academic programs in Gerontology are administered by the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University, a research center dedicated to the study and dissemination of information related to aging.
