Premedical Studies Co-Major

The Premedical Studies Co-Major provides students with a broad-based science background and prepares them to pursue advanced degrees in medicine as well as other healthcare related fields. The co-major requires only 2 additional credit hours to a normal premedical curriculum, while allowing students to more efficiently track their progress toward achieving their professional goals.

Capstone Seminar

The capstone seminar course provides Miami undergraduates an opportunity to explore, in depth, the world of healthcare before becoming committed to the profession. Students explore various topics in healthcare, present their research to the class, and lead a discussion on the topic.

The Mallory-Wilson Center provides Miami University pre-healthcare students with significant, in-depth, firsthand experience by offering internships known as preceptorships. Students work for one week with a practicing physician, most of whom are Miami alums.

There are several scholarship opportunities available to pre-professional students in healthcare-related fields.
