All EHS programs are built on a strong foundation of hands-on field experiences, internships, and research using innovative technologies. EHS offers 26 undergraduate majors in teacher education, family studies, special education, athletic training, nutrition, kinesiology, health promotion, and sport leadership and management.
Students have many advising resources at Miami. You can seek help from faculty, departmental, and divisional advisors. Additionally, first-year advisors live in the residence halls and assist students with academic questions. Students commuting to the Oxford campus can seek assistance from an advisor assigned to the Commuter Center (Room 100, Shriver Center). Students attending classes at the Hamilton and Middletown campuses may seek advising from the advisors on their regional campus or arrange to meet with an Oxford campus advisor.
Each EHS student with a major has been assigned an academic advisor in his or her major to help with professional and career advice.
Each EHS department also has an undergraduate advising coordinator who can help with more complicated departmental advising questions such as double majors, adding minors, and studying abroad.
