On-Campus Interviewing

Ethical and Legal Standards in On-Campus Recruitment

All internship and job candidates should have equal access to the opportunity for open and free selection of employment opportunities consistent with their personal objectives, the optimum use of their talents and employment criteria established by employers. The University’s EEO policy and standards established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), reinforce this basic principle. To assist faculty and staff in this aspect of the recruitment process, NACE has published a Faculty Guide to Ethical and Legal Standards in Student Hiring.

On-Campus Interviewing

All on-campus interviews must be conducted at the Center for Career Exploration & Success office in Armstrong Student Center located in the center of Miami’s Oxford campus just off Spring Street (U.S. Route 27). The only exceptions to this policy are interviews conducted on the days after Fall, Spring and Teacher Career Fairs. Such interviews are to be conducted in Millett Hall, where each of the fairs is held. Further exceptions to this policy must be approved in writing by Jennifer McLaughlin, acting Director, Center for Career Exploration & Success.
