Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply?

You are invited to apply online. Your application will be reviewed by the Associate Director of FSB Global Studies, Jenni Kim. We will be in touch with you regarding your admission into the program within two weeks of receiving your application.

Is the China Business Program a major?

No. Rather, the China Business is a certificate program that enhances your business major and your Miami degree. Upon completion of CBP, you will receive a certificate, as well as a notation on your academic transcript identifying you to future employers as a China Business specialist.

The program complements any business major you select, giving you international business expertise and experience in a country whose global importance continues to grow. Program requirements will not interfere with the requirements of your chosen major.

What does it cost to participate in CBP?

There are no special costs associated with participation in the program. In planning for your overseas experience in China, you will work closely with Jenni Kim, Associate Director of FSB Global Studies, to ensure that you are prepared, both academically and financially. Scholarships are available through FSB, Miami and externally for study in China.

What if I change my mind?

If you decide not to pursue a business degree at Miami, or if you decide that China Business is not for you, there is no penalty for withdrawing from the program.
