How Do I Access and Order Transcripts?

We are pleased to offer transcript ordering online through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), a non-profit organization serving the higher education community. We do not provide electronic transcripts or faxed transcripts.

If you are unable to order transcripts online, you may send a written letter of request and full payment by check or money order to:

Transcript orders will not be accepted by phone, fax, or email. Written requests may take 5-10 business days to process once the request is received. Written requests must contain all of the following information: Full current name, previous name(s) used while attending Miami, SSN or student identification number, date of birth, approximate years of attendance, a contact phone number where you can be reached if there is a problem with your order, number of transcripts requested, address(es) to which the transcript is to be sent, and your signature authorizing release of your transcript.

Unofficial Transcripts

Current students may access and print an unofficial transcript through BannerWeb.

  1. Login to BannerWeb (found through MyMiami)
  2. Select “Student Services & Financial Aid”
  3. Select “Student Records”
  4. Select “Academic Transcript”
  5. Select “Level”

Immediate Transcripts

Immediate transcripts can only be issued directly to you and must be ordered in person at the One Stop located in the Campus Avenue Building (CAB). Immediate transcripts are $12.00 per transcript. Photo identification is required in order to pick up your transcript. All immediate transcripts are marked ‘Issued to Student’.

Regular Processing Transcripts

Regular processing transcripts are $8.00 per transcript and are mailed within two business days of the University’s receipt and processing of the order.

Note that transcripts are not processed on days when the University is closed. Once you have submitted your consent form and your order is in process it cannot be cancelled or refunded. Transcripts ordered online through the National Student Clearinghouse will be mailed via first-class US mail generally within two business days of the University’s receipt and processing of your order. We do not offer rush or expedited mailing service and transcripts cannot be emailed or faxed. During peak periods such as the beginning and end of term (December, January, May, August), additional time must be allowed to process transcript orders.

All official transcripts are placed in signed/sealed envelopes.

If you need your transcript to include your final semester grades, do not order your transcript until you see your grades posted on BannerWeb.

If you have a form that must be included with your transcript you should send the completed form to the:

Alternatively, you can scan and email the form to registrar@MiamiOH.edu. You MUST indicate in the special instructions area of the online order that a form is being sent to accompany the transcript. Please note that sending a form for inclusion with your transcript may cause a slight delay in processing.

FAQs for Transcript Ordering

Can someone else order my transcript?

All academic records released by Miami University are released in accordance with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and subsequent amendments. The online transcript ordering process will provide you with a consent form to sign and return to the National Student Clearinghouse before your order is forwarded on to us for processing. How will I know if there is a problem processing my online order?

Online ordering offers the added benefit of email notification when the order is placed, when it is in process with us, and when it has been sent.

Online ordering allows for email notification of any holds preventing release of your transcript, or our inability to locate your record. If a hold prevents release, or if we are unable to locate your record, you will receive an email with information on whom to contact for assistance. You can also track your order at the National Student Clearinghouse and entering your user ID and the order number.

Questions about the content of your transcript, or if your transcript is not received after you receive email notification that it has been sent, should be directed to the One Stop at OneStop@MiamiOH.edu or 513-529-0001.

How soon after I order my ‘hold for pick up’ transcript can I pick it up?

Transcripts ordered online will be available for pick up within two business days unless we are in a peak processing period. Transcripts may be picked up at the One Stop located in the Campus Avenue Building (CAB). Photo identification is required in order to pick up a transcript. If you send someone to pick up the transcript for you, they must provide a letter from you with your signature giving them permission by name to pick up your transcript. They must also present photo identification to receive the transcript.

If I am graduating, can I order my final transcript before graduation?

Check your academic transcript in BannerWeb to determine if your degree has been awarded before ordering your final official transcript. Final transcripts displaying your awarded degree will be available as soon as your degree has been posted to your record. Generally, this will be within 7 business days of the graduation ceremony.

Can I order my undergraduate and graduate transcripts separately?

Official transcripts are a complete record of your entire enrollment at Miami University and include all work taken at Miami as well as any work transferred into Miami.
