Through intentionally designed experiences in advanced manufacturing, education, or healthcare, students gain a strong head start on college and their careers while the region benefits from a highly skilled, future-ready workforce.

Students interested in these pathways must first be enrolled at Butler Tech and should speak with their Butler Tech counselor about eligibility. Advanced Manufacturing Workforce and Innovation Hub

A $31 million workforce accelerator built for students, industry, and Ohio’s workforce.

Opening in January 2026, the Advanced Manufacturing Hub (AM Hub) places Butler Tech and Miami University students inside a learning environment designed to mirror today’s most advanced manufacturing floors. This groundbreaking collaboration combines the strengths of career technical education, higher education, and industry into one unified, high-impact ecosystem.

1+3 Teacher Pathway

A Direct Route to Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society.

The 1+3 Teacher Pathway prepares students who feel called to make a difference in the lives of others. Beginning in 10th grade, students receive hands-on teaching experience and college-level coursework in collaboration with Miami University.

Three Years of Real Classroom Experience

Students gain practical experience through:

  • Field placements in local schools
  • Lesson planning and instructional delivery
  • Classroom culture and climate strategies
  • Curriculum design
  • Observation and leadership practice 

College Credit and Guaranteed Admission

Students have the opportunity to earn:

  • College Credit Plus
  • CTAG credits that transfer statewide
  • The equivalent of one year toward a Miami University education degree 

Students who meet program qualifications are guaranteed admission into any teacher education major within Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society.

Early Access BSN 1+3 Model

An Accelerated Path to Becoming a Registered Nurse.

Butler Tech’s Healthcare Science program and Miami University Regionals have partnered to provide a faster and more affordable path into the nursing profession. The Early Access BSN 1+3 Model allows students to begin nursing coursework during high school and complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in only three years after graduation.

Start Your Nursing Journey in High School

During high school, students can begin College Credit Plus coursework through Cincinnati State and Miami University. These credits count toward the BSN program and provide an early academic advantage.

A Seamless Transition to Miami University

After graduation, students enter Miami University’s Nursing program with earned credits and move smoothly into clinical rotations, simulation labs, and nursing-specific coursework.
