Dragonfly Students Support the Conservation Work of Danau Girang Field Centre and HUTAN

In summer 2020, a team of  Dragonfly  students supported the ongoing work of our Earth Expeditions: Borneo partners, the  Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC)  and  HUTAN . The “Earth Expeditions: Connected Conservation” (EECC) team – including Kim Harris, Valeria Hernandez, Tanner Fangman, and Kili Walsh – created this series of infographics to promote  Regrow Borneo , a tree-planting project located in the Lower Kinabatangan rainforest, Sabah, Borneo. The project encourages donations towards tree planting efforts as a counteraction to carbon emissions from air travel. Short- and long-term impacts of the project include: employment for local communities, habitat restoration for local wildlife, and natural carbon sequestration.
