National Zoo and Aquarium Month

June is #NationalZooandAquariumMonth — a time to reflect on the importance of zoos and aquariums. These organizations not only provide animal care and public education, they are essential to the protection and preservation of wildlife and habitats.

Due to COVID-19, zoos and aquariums across the world were forced to close to their doors but continue to provide vital animal care, secure a future for wildlife conservation, and stay engaged with the public. Staying engaged meant going digital — with live cams, virtual tours, and online resources using a variety of platforms.

We hope you enjoy these online resource pages, which were created (or amplified) by our zoo, garden, and aquarium partners in response to the COVID-19 closures.
