Miami University graduate Jennifer Udema MAT ‘22 was published in Current Conservation magazine. Her article, “Finding Frogs and Tracing Tracks,” focuses on how she found and tracked frogs in the Amazon rainforest.
“Searching for snakes at night was one of many experiences I had last summer, when I traveled to the remote Peruvian Amazon, specifically in the Madre de Dios region. I spent a week volunteering with Hoja Nueva, an organization dedicated to protecting this land and its inhabitants…seeing so much biodiversity filled me with hope and inspired me…”
Udema earned a Master of Arts (MA) in the biological sciences from Miami through Project Dragonfly‘s Advanced Inquiry Program with experiential learning at Denver Zoo. Udema is a budding biologist and a conservation enthusiast. She lives in Colorado with her pets and partner, but travels for field work, exploration, and adventure.
