Friday’s graduation, set inside Miami's Millett Assembly Hall, came with all the pomp and circumstance as well as yellow tagged mortar boards, Dragonfly reunions, and big smiles.

Our graduates assembled at the Graduate School spot in the south lobby area of Millett prior to the ceremony. Dragonfly staff were on hand to share yellow luggage tags with our graduates so they could decorate their mortar boards and show Miami their program's spirit. At the conclusion of the ceremony, we returned to the south lobby—gathering on the stairs adjacent to the Graduate School assembly area—for a group photo.

Following commencement, Dragonfly held a reception with refreshments, a welcome and introduction of Dragonfly staff, instructional team members, and university partners, and program reminiscences and reflections. Chris and Lynne Born Myers, Project Dragonfly co-founders and directors, concluded the evening with a few remarks and a symbolic goodbye.

Day two of our graduation celebration continued at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Our gradates and their families enjoyed live animal encounters, refreshments, self-guided Cincinnati AIP student poster presentations in the Harold C. Schott Education Center, and the opportunity to see the “Wild Wonderland” of the Zoo’s PNC Festival of Lights at night.
