GFP (Global Field Program) graduate student Melanie Branson of Ridgecrest, California, was published in The News Review, a weekly newspaper of the Indian Wells Valley (IWV). In the opinion piece titled "Conservation in the IWV: Birds, Gardens and Water" Branson identifies several local "good steward" organizations and encourages readers to get involved in good stewardshipto join in helping conserve water, plants, animals and ensure a cleaner, more balanced and sustainable future.
