Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) graduate student Bryan Kao of Bronx, New York, was published in the British magazine, Zoo Grapevine & International Zoo News. In "Californian Coastal Collections" he highlights the unique specialties of two public aquariums in Los Angeles County, California—Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro. Kao visited both aquariums while on a Christmas-New Year’s trip from December 2023 to January 2024. 

As a student in Miami's biology department, Kao is earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology through Project Dragonfly's AIP while working as a visitor engagement assistant at the Bronx Zoo.
