Orchestral Training Audition Requirements and Repertoire

Audition Requirements

  • Orchestral Training program auditions are by video submission of the requested material only.
  • Applicants' recording should include all required audition excerpts in the order indicated.
  • You can submit only ONE video file.
  • The audition must be uploaded as one video, but the excerpts may be recorded separately and pasted together into one continuous video segment in the order listed
  • All pieces must be played without accompaniment.
  • The video must contain NO verbal or text identifiers.
  • Videos must be submitted as a public or unlisted YouTube link in the Application.
  • Former participants in the Fellows program may opt to apply without submitting a video for the current year. Your application will be considered based on prior participation. 
  • Deadline Extended: Submission deadline is midnight on March 1st, 2024 Eastern Standard Time

Those selected for the fellowship will be notified of their acceptance to the program by mid-April.

Horn

Application Process

To Apply

  1. Record yourself performing the requested selections found above on the Audition Repertoire list.
  2. Upload your video to YouTube.
  3. Fill in the below application and include the YouTube link for your video submission.
  4. Add CSOBrass@miamioh.edu to your email contacts as communication will be sent from this address moving forward. 
  5. Deadline Extended: Submission deadline is midnight Eastern Standard Time on March 1st, 2024.

Former participants in the Fellows program may opt to apply without submitting a video for the current year. Your application will be considered based on prior participation.
