CEC Community Impact: Miami's Cybersecurity Club collaborates with a local Girl Scout troup
In April 2023, Miami's Cybersecurity Club hosted a collaborative event with a local Girl Scout troop to educate and inspire young individuals in the field of cybersecurity. Four executive team members, Austin Flaherty, Frederick Levins, Tom Deep, and Robbie Pacsi, engaged the Girl Scouts in interactive activities in areas like cryptography, password cracking, phishing, dangers of social media, and the importance of securing your identity online. Partnering with U.S. Bank(Charles Banks), we utilized a combination of live exercises and hands-on demonstrations to provide the girls a valuable insight into cybersecurity. This was a great experience for our organization, and we look forward to working with more community organizations in the future.
