Have you heard? The new U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Colleges rankings are out, and Miami University's College of Engineering and Computing has received multiple high-level rankings.
Undergraduate Engineering (Overall)
Miami University CEC's overall undergraduate engineering program was ranked #7 among all public universities in the U.S. (no Doctorate), excluding military schools.
Mechanical EngineeringMiami University CEC's undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program in particular was ranked #5 among all public universities in the U.S. (no Doctorate), excluding military schools.
Computer ScienceMiami University CEC was named a top performer amoung all undergraduate computer science schools.
"Miami University's College of Engineering and Computing has always focused on providing our students with the best education possible through project based, hands-on education grounded in the liberal arts," said Dr. Beena Sukumaran, Dinesh and Ila Paliwal Dean of Miami's College of Engineering and Computing. "Our faculty are great teachers and mentors and they engage our students in their research. As a result of the education they receive both in and out of the classroom, our students are exemplary engineers and computer scientists who are also system thinkers."
Miami University as a whole was credited with many notable rankings, including #10 public university for Undergraduate Research/Creative Projects and #3 among national public universities for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
