Miami University requires all first year and second year students to live on campus through the spring semester of their second academic year of enrollment. Students seeking an exemption to this requirement must submit a Residency Requirement Exemption application to the Campus Services Center prior to the beginning of the semester for which the exemption is sought.
If you plan to commute, you must complete the Residency Requirement Exemption form. If you are living at home with a parent/guardian, spouse, or dependent children, you must also complete the affidavit for exemption. More information: Campus Services Center website.
Note: The housing exemption process is managed by the Miami University Office of Campus Services, not the Armstrong Student Center. Questions should be directed to the Campus Services Center: 513-529-5000 or via email at: CampusServicesCenter@MiamiOH.edu.
