Service Requests

Service Requests can only be submitted through this page while on Miami's network.


Physical facilities offers a wide range of services to all buildings on Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown campuses. All service requests and small project requests should be submitted using iServiceDesk. The operations center business hours are as follows:

  • Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - midnight
  • Saturday - 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If your request is an emergency, call 529-6111. If after-hours, call Public Safety at 529-2222.

Regular Services

Services may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Routine grounds and landscape care
  • Routine building maintenance
  • Routine custodial care
  • Event support
  • Facility operations

Small Projects

Small projects may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Estimates 
  • New electric/data needs
  • Furniture procurement and repair
  • Accessibility evaluations/improvements
  • Space renovation
  • Signage/Evacuation plans

Requesting Keys

Building Keys

According to the Miami University Access Control Policy, only Building Points of Contact (BPOC) are authorized to request building keys. All request for keys will come through the Physical Facilities Operations Center.

Office Keys

If you are requesting keys that are not for building access, like desk and cabinet keys, please submit a Service Request.

Submitting a Request

All service requests should be submitted through iServiceDesk. Your work requests will be scheduled appropriately (see below) in an effort to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the department to control costs of the operation. The Operations Center will assign a priority to your request and forward it to the appropriate shop. Priorities will be assigned in accordance with the following guidelines:

Priority #1

Life-safety and asset protection with immediate response.

Priority #2

A major disruption in operation and a goal to respond within 24 hours.

Priority #3

Routine work which will be scheduled appropriately.

Making Payment

All services have a cost. Depending on what service PFD is providing, the cost will either be covered by the department, or by PFD.
