Timekeeping and Pay Schedules

The department in which you work will communicate the method you will use to record your work time.

Timekeeping

For any position you work, you need to check in at the beginning of your shift and check out at the end of your shift. Your time is recorded exactly as entered (i.e., there is no rounding). You must check in/out your time on campus; student employees are not permitted to work at home.

This can be found on Workday under the Time application.

Pay Schedules

Hourly students are paid on a biweekly pay schedule (pay schedule can be found under Payroll > Pay Periods and Schedules). Salaried students are paid on the last day of each month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Experiencing an issue checking in or out?

Email your supervisor to bring it to their attention. If you no longer have access to check-in, confirm your job is still active on your profile. If it is not active, submit a support request.
