How to Help a Friend Training

Provided by Miami University community partner Women Helping Women, this training is designed to help equip students with best practices to responding to friends or peers who disclose sexual assault, harassment, stalking, or intimate partner violence. The spectrum of gender-based violence will be discussed along with responses that are helpful to support friends when they disclose and responses that can unintentionally shut someone down. Students will learn about both confidential and reporting resources on-campus and in the community.
