In August 2017, Miami University implemented a new surplus equipment plan which uses an outside contractor and oversight from the department of purchasing and central services to sell surplus equipment.

The university’s surplus auction is at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Campbell Auction Team’s facility at 102 North Main St., in Liberty, Indiana, 47353.

An overview of items being auctioned can be found at http://www.campbellauctionteam.com/ under auction calendar, Miami University Surplus Auction.

The new plan administers a solution for handling, logistics, alternate storage, revenue potential, inventory control and related accounting. It also provides recycling for raw materials such as steel, aluminum and copper.
