Biography
Liz Dame received her bachelor’s in marine science from the University of South Carolina. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, where her research focused on behavioral ecology and marine ecology, respectively. She conducted her doctoral fieldwork in Curacao, where her research examined factors affecting the resilience of coral reefs and the recovery of a keystone grazer. In addition to having been part of the Earth Expeditions instructional team for Australia and visiting faculty for other Dragonfly courses, Liz taught biology at the University of Cincinnati for several years. She is an avid scuba diver and is certified as a rescue diver.
