Biography
Jennifer Ress earned both a master’s and a doctorate in biological sciences from Bowling Green State University where her dissertation focused on the ecology of aerial algae. Prior to her dissertation work, she was part of a research team documenting and describing the algal species within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as part of the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory. Jennifer has several peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals focused on algal taxonomy and ecology. Jennifer lives in Batavia, Illinois, with her husband and children where she enjoys gardening and hiking.
