Dr. Davis believes that the Regionals is unique due to, "the passion of the faculty and staff to serve our students and the wide variety of students that we have on campus. I'm willing to match up our best students against anyone at any university. The amount of energy they expend and work that they do to get through college while putting food on the table and being involved on campus and in the community is staggering."

Outside of the Regionals, Dr. Davis has a Miami family. His wife is also a faculty member at Miami and his daughter is a current Miami student. In his spare time, Dr. Davis follows soccer and basketball, and he is an avid board and card game player.
