Miami University Regionals will provide a college education that fits your lifestyle so you can earn a life-changing degree. With our open admission policy, merit-based scholarships and need-based scholarships, and one of the lowest tuitions in the area, Miami’s campuses and online degree programs provide an environment for diverse learners to achieve their educational and career goals.

If you are a high school graduate or earned a GED and have never attended community college or another university, you are a First-Time College Student. Note: This does not include any college courses taken while in high school.

You are a College Credit Plus (CCP) student if you wish to earn college credit while you are still in high school.

You are a Transfer student if you have attended a community college or another university after graduating high school. Students seeking to take courses on another Miami campus should not complete the transfer application.

Veteran and military students pay no application fee and are provided priority registration, payment considerations, and VA education benefits enrollment support for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33), the Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 30 or 1606), Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31), Dependents Educational Assistance (Chapter 35), or Reserve Educational Assistance (Chapter 1607). We recognize your service and experience and have created a veteran-friendly culture to support you through the enrollment process and throughout your education at Miami University. You will have access to veteran support services at the Veteran Centers on the Hamilton and Middletown campuses.

If you have previously enrolled as a degree-seeking student at any Miami campus, including online, you are a returning former student.

If you are currently enrolled in another institution but want to take some courses at Miami University Regionals, then you are a visiting/transient student. You are an Unclassified Student if you are not attending college elsewhere and are not seeking a degree at Miami University's locations.

Explore the Early College Academy

The Early College Academy will open doors for high school students within their region. Utilizing Ohio’s statewide College Credit Plus program, students can earn a Miami University Associate in Arts in General Studies degree at no cost.
