The Miami Activities and Programming team is made up of 12 Executive Team members and over 60 general members who help plan and execute events for the Miami community.

Sriya Kakarala, President
Sriya KakaralaSriya Kakarala is a Junior, pursuing a major in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Data Analytics. She joined Miami Activities and Programming her Freshman year and has been involved ever since. This year, Sriya serves as the President of MAP where she is able to advise directors, communicate with general members, and connect with other student leaders on campus.  and Her favorite part about MAP is having the ability to create unique and creative events for the whole campus, and promoting inclusivity every step of the way. She also loves that MAP creates spaces on campus for students to connect and meet new people. Along with MAP, Sriya has been a part of the ACE tutoring program on campus. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, trying new recipes, reading, and working out.

Kyla Mowry, Vice President for Membership

Kyla MowryKyla Mowry is a Junior pursuing a major in Primary Education. She joined Miami Activities and Programming her Freshman year to meet new people and to help strengthen the Miami community. Kyla serves as the Vice President of Membership. In this role, she is able to enhance membership, organize recruitment, and assist directors in the event planning process. She loves MAP because she has been able to find so many wonderful friendships and opportunities in the organization! Outside of MAP, Kyla enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking!


Ian Rose, Vice President for Programming

Ian RoseIan Rose is a 4th year, pursuing majors in Professional Writing and Emerging Technology in Business and Design. He joined MAP in the Spring of 2020 when he was a first year student. Ian is the Vice President of Programming, and his role includes overseeing the creation of the MAP events calendar, and assisting directors in the event planning process. He loves that MAP creates spaces for students to enjoy themselves and take a break from academics. Ian says that MAP fosters community and enhances the student experience for everyone. When he has some free time, Ian enjoys writing and preparing to run Tabletop Roleplaying games.


Ellie Minick, Director of Arts and Entertainment

Ellie MinickEllie Minick is a Sophomore, pursuing a major in Middle Childhood Education with TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement. She joined Miami Activities and Programming in the Spring of 2022. Ellie serves as the Director of Arts and Entertainment which involves coordinating the performers who will come to Miami University, as well as working with the Performing Arts Series for Family Weekend and more. Ellie’s favorite thing about MAP is the passion they have for the organization itself, as well as working to create meaningful memories for all. She loves to help diverse ideas come to fruition, and seeing Miami students enjoy MAP events. Events such as Fallin’ for Goggin, Springfest, and Welcome Home are her favorite. Along with MAP, Ellie is also the Director of Sisterhood for her sorority, Chi Omega, and tutors middle schoolers at Oxford Public Library through the program “Students Helping Students”. Ellie also loves spending time with friends and family, reading lots of books, and baking!


Aidan Owens, Director of Collaborations

Aidan OwensAidan Owens is a Sophomore, pursuing a major in Computer Science. He joined Miami Activities and Programming in the Spring of 2022. Aidan serves as the Director of Collaboration where his responsibilities include meeting and working with other organizations on campus to bring their events to life. HIs goal is to provide other organizations with the resources that MAP has to create a successful program.


Sarah Zipes, Director of Finance

Sarah ZipesSarah Zipes is a Junior Mathematics and Integrated Math Education. She joined MAP in the Spring of 2021. This year, Sarah serves as the Director of Finance involves budgeting the events for the upcoming year, entering funding requests, and maintaining up-to-date and organized spreadsheets to track requisitions. Sarah’s favorite thing about MAP is the supportive environment. Our events are filled with positive energy and everyone is always there for each other. She is so grateful to be able to be a part of an organization that puts on events that bring everyone together. Sarah is also involved with the Redfins Club Swim Team as the treasurer, serves as the Vice President for Miami University Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and is also a member of Chi Omega on campus. She loves to spend her free time hanging out with her family and friends and enjoys working with kids when she is a head swim coach over the summer.


Sophia Wine, Director of Inclusive Outreach

Sophia WineSophia Wine is a Junior pursuing a major in Supply Chain and Operations Management and minors in Entrepreneurship and Human Capital Management and Leadership. She joined MAP in the Spring of 2022. Sophia serves as the Director of Inclusive Outreach for the board where she collaborates with identity-based organizations on campus, in hopes to utilize the platform that MAP has to showcase students on Miami’s campus that would otherwise not get the representation they deserve. Her favorite part about MAP is seeing the joy that the organization brings to students and knowing that she was able to be a part of creating the fun events for the community. Sophia is a first generation student involved in the Passport Program within the Farmer School of Business. She has also been active with the planning of Social Innovation and Techstars® Startup Weekend within the Entrepreneurship department for the past few semesters. Outside of school and work, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with those she is closest with.


Ali Reeg, Director of Marketing

Ali ReegAli Reeg is a Sophomore pursuing a major in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Disability Studies. She joined MAP in the Spring of 2022. This year, Ali serves as the Director of Marketing where she utilizes in person marketing tactics to promote upcoming events as well as MAP as an organization. Her favorite thing about MAP is having the ability to work events and reach out to Miami students to contribute to the overall Miami community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and any active activities.


Caroline Mettey, Director of RedHawk Events

Rachel BanittRachel Banitt is a sophomore majoring in Finance. She joined MAP during the Spring of her Freshman Year and is the current Director of Redhawk Events. This role encompasses events pertaining to Miami Athletics and tradition-based events. She joined MAP to help create a safe space for Miami Students to meet new people and make memories that will last a lifetime. Outside of Miami Activities and Programming she serves as a Tour Guide for the Office of Admissions, is a general member of Women in Finance, the Accounting Association, and is in the Miami University Honors College.


Addie Taylor, Director of Series Events

Addie TaylorAddie Taylor is a Sophomore pursuing a major in Adolescent and Young Adult Integrated Math Education. She joined MAP in the Spring of 2022. Addie serves as the Director of Series where she is in charge of creating unique craft series. She is also in charge of planning Movie nights on campus. Her favorite part of MAP is that the organization feels like a family where everyone is able to support each other whenever they need. In her free time, Addie enjoys reading, and she has a golden retriever named Archie.


Chloe Miller, Director of Social Media

Chloe MillerChloe Miller is a Junior pursuing a major in Strategic Communications and a minor in Digital Marketing. She joined Miami Activities and Programming in Spring 2022? Chloe is the Director of Social Media for the 2023 year where her responsibilities include keeping the students informed about MAP events and the organization on social media platforms. Her favorite thing about MAP is that it has allowed her to grow as a person professionally and personally. She also says that MAP has enabled her to come out of her shell, and allowed her to meet many new people. Along with MAP, Chloe works for Miami’s Student Life department on the social media team where she works on TikToks and Reels. In the summers, she spends her time coaching a 16U travel softball team with her dad.


Maggie Hayes, Director of Special Events

Maggie HayesMaggie Hayes is a Junior who is pursuing a major in Social Work. She joined MAP in the Spring of her Sophomore year. Maggie serves as the Director of Special Events where she plans new events and annual events such as I Love You Beary Much and Springfest. She is also able to give students the opportunity to travel off campus for events through Beyond the Bricks events. Her favorite part of MAP is hosting events where everyone can find something they like and students can have fun with friends while also making new friends. In her free time, Maggie enjoys reading, crocheting, and watching shows and movies.

Kailey loves helping students find themselves as leaders and is inspired by the dedication, hard work, and creativity of MAP. If you can't find Kailey at an event or in the office, she's most likely working out at OrangeTheory Fitness, spending her time cooking, or playing Phase10!
