The Miami Activities and Programming team is made up of 12 Executive Team members and over 60 general members who help plan and execute events for the Miami community.

Margaux Harding, President
Margaux HardingMargaux Harding is a Junior, pursuing a major in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Management. Margaux has been involved in Miami Activities & Programming since her freshman year and served as the Director of Series before becoming the President. Her favorite part about MAP is creating unique activities, events, and experiences for students around campus. She loves getting the opportunity to meet new people and cultivate a space for people to get connected and meet new friends! Beyond MAP, Margaux loves to spend time listening to podcasts, cooking, going to Orangetheory, and being around friends!

Arushi Verma, Vice President for Membership

Arushi VermaArushi Verma is a junior majoring in Kinesiology with a co-major in Premedical Studies. Arushi joined Miami Activities and Programming fall of her freshman year and served as the Director of Redhawk Events before her current role as the VP of Membership. Through this position, she serves as a resource for the rest of the executive board and leads member engagement activities such as recruitment. Her favorite part of MAP is the plethora of opportunities it provides for students to get involved. She loves getting to help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students through the array of events MAP puts on. Outside of MAP, Arushi is also a part of Delta Epsilon Mu and MEDLIFE, and loves grabbing coffee and working out with her friends in her free time.


Hannah Secrist, Vice President for Programming

Hannah SecristHannah Secrist is a junior who is pursuing a major in Strategic Communication and minors in Human Capital Management and Leadership as well as Architecture and Interior Design. Hannah was previously the Director of Arts and Entertainment before becoming the Vice President of Programming. She helps to develop the programming calendar while guiding and advising directors through the event planning process. Hannah joined in the Fall of 2021 and mentioned that her favorite part of MAP is being able to provide a safe space for students of diverse backgrounds. She loves that MAP allows for all individuals on campus to have a place and belong, and where they can make meaningful connections. Hannah is also involved in Miami University Student Foundation, Opening Minds through Art and on an Intramural Broomball team. She also enjoys drinking coffee and sewing!


Eva Cole, Director of Arts and Entertainment

Eva ColeEva Cole is a junior majoring in Professional Writing with minors in Information Systems and Information Security. Eva became involved in Miami Activities & Programming the spring of her freshman year and currently serves as the Director of Arts and Entertainment. In this position, she is in charge of planning and coordinating all performers on campus, as well as working with the Performing Art Series for events such as Family Weekend. Eva’s favorite thing about MAP is working behind the scenes for popular campus events, such as I Love You Beary Much, Fallin’ for Goggin, and Spring Fest. She loves having all of MAP involved in these events and watching them come to life. Beyond MAP, Eva is in ADPi and enjoys spending her time watching YouTube and TikTok as well as hanging out with friends.


Ian Rose, Director of Collaborations

Ian RoseIan Rose is a Third-Year Professional Writing and Emerging Technologies in Business and Design Double Major. He joined Map during the Spring of 2020, just a few weeks before campus was shut down for Covid, and is currently the Director of Collaborations. In that role, he works closely with other student organizations on events they want to see happen on campus, such as Art After Dark! To him, MAP is what makes the student experience here at Miami so enriching. Whether it is the smaller events, such as a movie in Wilks Theater, or one of the Annual events, such as I Love You Beary Much, there is almost always something happening for students to do. When he is not planning events, Ian is playing tabletop games or catching up on the latest episode of a podcast.


Sarah Zipes, Director of Finance

Sarah ZipesSarah Zipes is a second-year Mathematics and Integrated Mathematics Education and pursuing a minor in French. Sarah joined in the Spring of 2021 and is currently the Director of Finance. As the Director of Finance, she helps to create the budget and spending for all of the MAP events. Sarah’s favorite part about being involved in Miami Activities & Programming is bringing students together and creating a happy, positive, energetic, and inclusive environment. Other than being involved in MAP, she is a part of MU Redfins Club Swimming, along with Miami University Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MUCTM).


Jazmine Williams, Director of Inclusive Outreach

Jazmine WilliamsJazmine Williams is a third-year majoring in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology. Jazmine joined MAP in the Spring of 2020, now she is currently in her second term as the Director of Inclusive Outreach. With her role, she collaborates with identity-based organizations on campus, in hopes to utilize the platform that MAP has to lift up, and showcase students on our campus who might not feel seen or represented. Jazmine believes that MAP allows students to make connections with one another, and meet new people that they may not have otherwise met. Aside from MAP, Jazmine serves as a student liaison on the Performing Arts Series Board. When Jazmine is not in the MAP office, you can find her listening to podcasts, or hanging out with her friends.


Kyla Mowry, Director of Marketing

Kyla MowryKyla Mowry is a Sophomore Primary Education major. She joined MAP in the fall of 2020. Kyla now serves as the Marketing Director for MAP! In this role, Kyla is responsible for out-of-the-box marketing and in-person marketing! Kyla loves the community that MAP creates and getting to connect with MAPpers. She also loves getting to know and supporting the Miami community! Outside of MAP, Kyla loves hiking, hanging out with friends, and drinking coffee!


Caroline Mettey, Director of RedHawk Events

Caroline MetteyCaroline Mettey is a junior pursuing a degree in Strategic Communications and American Studies with a minor in Community-Based Leadership. She is the director of Redhawk events which includes all events pertaining to Miami athletic events and events dealing with Miami traditions. She joined MAP because she wanted to make Miami students feel welcome, included, and able to have a fun event to look forward to. The events helped her feel welcome at Miami and she wanted to be able to help plan those same events! Her favorite thing about MAP is all the amazing people she’s met that she now calls some of her closest friends. In addition to MAP, she is involved in Delight, a women’s ministry on campus, and an undergraduate assistant for an American studies course.


Sriya Kakarala, Director of Series Events

Sriya KakaralaSriya Kakarala is a sophomore majoring in Organizational Leadership with a Data Analytics minor. She is the director of Series which includes all movie and craft events. Her favorite thing about MAP is meeting new people! She has made so many new friends and strengthened all of her friendships through MAP. She loves MAP because she is able to connect with all of the Miami students and feel welcomed into the community. Along with MAP, she is also involved with the American Culture and English Department as a writing tutor.


Stephen Lee, Director of Social Media

Stephen LeeStephen Lee is a second-year Media and Communications major and double minoring in General Business and Musical Theatre. Stephen joined in the Fall of 2020 and is currently the Director of Social Media. As the Director of Social Media, he runs the MAP-branded social media and helps come up with digital marketing strategies. Stephen’s favorite part about being involved in Miami Activities & Programming is the joy and opportunities that this organization brings to the Miami community. Other than being involved in MAP, he is also a Resident Assistant and the Vice President of Stage Left. During Stephen’s free time, he is usually hanging out with his friends or hammocking around campus.


Lucy Chappell, Director of Special Events

Lucy ChappellLucy Chappell is a junior Psychology major with a Neuroscience co-major and General Business minor. She joined MAP spring 2021 and is the current Director of Special Events. She is able to plan unique and exciting events to bring to Miami students. Lucy works with MAP members to brainstorm for new events as well as organize yearly events such as I Love You Beary Much and Springfest! She is the head of Beyond The Bricks which allows Miami students the opportunity to travel away from campus for different activities. She joined MAP her sophomore year and loves the way MAP has made Miami feel like home. Outside of MAP, Lucy is involved in undergraduate research as a member of the Quinn Behavioral Neuroscience Lab and loves to read and watch movies.

Ryan Kwapniowski and Kailey Costabile at Springfest eventRyan Kwapniowski is the Assistant Director of Programming in the Center for Student Engagement, Activities, and Leadership. With over four years of experience working with MAP, Ryan loves watching students grow and develop as they give back to the Miami community and create a unique and engaging Miami experience. Look for Ryan outside of the office at Orangetheory Fitness, playing with his dog, Finley, or traveling to the beach!

Kailey Costabile is the Graduate Assistant for Student Activities in the Center for Student Engagement, Activities, and Leadership. Kailey loves helping students find themselves as leaders and is inspired by the dedication, hard work, and creativity of MAP. If you can't find Kailey at an event or in the office, she's most likely spending her time cooking, reading, or playing Phase10!
