Funding Opportunities
The Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion does not have funding available for tuition and/or book stipends. Please review the details of each funding opportunity below for specifics.
Barahona Latinx Resource Fund
The Barahona Latinx Resource Fund is an allotment of monies donated by the Barahona Family who are Miami alumni. This fund provides programming opportunities for Hispanic and Latinx identified students. The fund can also be used to defray costs for conference attendance as well as study abroad. Submit request using the Center for Student Diversity Inclusion Funding Request Link below.
When submitting requests for traveling, even if it is for members of the same organization, they are reviewed on an individual basis. Therefore, each student needs to submit their own individual request.
Miami Family Fund
Each year, families play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the Miami Experience through the Miami Family Fund. Made possible through the private support of Miami families, this powerful fund strengthens the University's efforts to provide a safe, well-rounded, vibrant college experience by offering critical support in a variety of areas:
- Scholarship assistance that allows students to continue their Miami journey;
- Support for cultural events and experiences;
- Funding that allows students to conduct and present research;
- Assistance for community engagement and service activities;
- Support for health and wellness programming and resources;
- Funding that makes conference attendance and study abroad experiences accessible;
- Programming support for career and leadership activities;
- A last resort for students with profound needs and nowhere else to turn financially.
Student Life Special Events Fund
The Student Life Special Events Fund is intended for university-wide events. Requests should be submitted to the Division of Student Life at least 8-weeks prior to the event.

Is your student organization planning an event beginning at or after 9 pm on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening? If so, your organization can receive up to $2,000 to cover expenses and be a part of the Late Night Miami Programming Initiative.
