    Bacteria in the Environment

    Undergraduate Summer Scholar Rhea Johnson fell in love with microbiology when she took a required course for her major. She added microbiology as a second major along with kinesiology and has now been conducting research with mentor Annette Bollman, assistant professor of microbiology, for the past two years.

    2014 Effective Educator Award

    Tammy Kernodle, professor of musicology, has been selected by the Miami University Alumni Association (MUAA) as recipient of the 2014 Effective Educator Award, which recognizes one Miami University faculty/staff member whose impact extends far beyond the traditional parameters of education.

    History is Always Relevant

    Undergraduate Summer Scholar Alex Filice is researching the history of the American Revolution, focusing in part on the debate over the position of the president of the new country. "History is always relevant," said Filice, a senior history major with minors in Italian and English.
