Research is an integral component of the academic life of the Department of Mathematics.  The department currently has active research groups in Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics / Optimization, Graph Theory / Combinatorics, Mathematics Education, Set Theory, and Topology.  Over the years, we have played host to many research conferences.
