New mileage rate changes effective January

New reimbursement rates for mileage (per diem) will be in effect beginning Jan. 1, 2014.

In accordance with current IRS guidelines, the reimbursement rate for mileage will decrease from 56.5 cents to 56 cents per mile for business miles driven and will decrease for medical or moving purposes from 24 cents to 23.5 cents.

The reimbursement rate for service of charitable organizations will remain unchanged at 14 cents per mile driven.
