Shriver Center access during construction

Due to the construction work that recently began at Shriver Center, there are changes to the accessible paths both inside and outside the building. These changes will be in effect until further notice:
Exterior Accessible Paths
On the Patterson Avenue side, the first floor (lower level) entry remains open but is no longer an accessible entry. This entry is now restricted to the staircase going up and no longer serves the first floor (lower level).

From CPA Plaza, the first floor entry to the Haines Food Court is now closed.

From CPA Plaza, the first floor bookstore entry and the entry stair adjacent to the bookstore remains open and is an accessible entry.

On the Maple Street side, the second floor entry remains open and is an accessible entry.

On the Spring Street side, the second floor entry remains open, but is not an accessible entry.
Interior Accessible Paths
From the first floor (lower level) entry adjacent to the bookstore, the accessible path to the second floor now goes through the bookstore via the bookstore elevator.

From the second floor, the existing passenger elevator located in the main corridor no longer goes down to the first floor (lower level). The accessible path to the first floor now goes through the bookstore via the bookstore elevator.

In both cases above, visitors should seek assistance from bookstore staff, who will guide them to the bookstore elevator located in the service area of the store. Please do not attempt to use the bookstore elevator without staff assistance.

From the first floor the accessible path to the Heritage Room (third floor) remains unchanged via the existing passenger elevator located in the main corridor on the Patterson Avenue side of the main lobby.

To assist moving around the building, please follow the temporary signage located throughout or seek assistance from building staff.
