Miami named a 2015 Military Friendly School

Military Friendly SchoolMiami University has been named a Military Friendly® School for 2015.

Released by Victory Media, this year’s list recognizes the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students.

The list of about 1,600 Military Friendly® Schools highlights those institutions that exhibit leading practices to support military students.

G.I. Jobs administered the survey that is available free to more than 8,000 schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding. Government agencies and private entities that administer education benefits also were part of the research.

Scoring criteria included military support on campus, academic credit for military service, flexibility for military students and veteran graduation rates.

Victory Media, originator of the Military Friendly® group of education and career resources for veterans and their families, posted the 2015 list to MilitaryFriendly.com and to the all-new Schools Matchmaker tool on GIJobs.com.  This is the sixth year the group released a list.

The online Schools Matchmaker enables student veterans and prospective military students to review more than 4,000 schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill tuition benefits, as well as schools that have earned the elite Military Friendly® Schools designation.
