Miami named among top 25 universities for marketers by LinkedIn
In a new series of rankings for career outcomes, the website LinkedIn has ranked Miami University as 21st nationwide for marketers.
LinkedIn's University Rankings are based on the career outcome data of more than 313 million LinkedIn members. Almost 104,000 alumni and employees are connected to Miami University's LinkedIn page.
Used with other higher education resources on LinkedIn such as University Finder, Field of Study Explorer, Decision Boards and recommendations on University Pages, the rankings can help to provide students with a more holistic view of the schools that interest them, possible career outcomes and a network of trusted connections that can help guide their decision-making process from school visits to getting the acceptance letter.
How LinkedIn determined the top schools for marketers:
- They identified the top companies where marketers are choosing to work.
- They found people on LinkedIn who work as marketers and saw where they went to school.
- Then, for each school, they found the percentage of these alumni who have landed marketing jobs at these top companies and compared the percentages.
"We compiled LinkedIn's University Rankings to help students identify the schools that are successfully launching graduates into desirable jobs in key industries, empowering students to make informed choices that will start them off on the right foot on their professional journey," said Christina Allen, LinkedIn's director of product management.
