Presidential Fellows Finalist Showcase

1. How do I RSVP for the Showcase?

Please submit your RSVP via the online form found on your Applicant Status Page. To continue your candidacy for the scholarship program, you must attend the Showcase. The deadline to register for the Showcase is February 1, 2019.

2. What will I be doing at the Showcase?

The Showcase will feature three modules: a 30-minute individual interview; a group problem-solving activity; and a class and scholarly response. The event is tailored so that we can learn more about you, while you discover the very best that Miami University has to offer.

3. How will Showcase participants be judged?

The review of Showcase participants will be comprehensive and holistic, based on your participation in the required Sunday programming. You are among only five percent of Presidential Fellows applicants who have been selected for the Showcase.

Faculty, staff, and students will all play a role in selecting Presidential Fellows. Presidential Fellows will be ambassadors of Miami University wherever they are, so every interaction is an opportunity for us to observe how you will represent Miami University.

You can anticipate light preparation in advance of the weekend. We will reach out to you via email closer to the event with more specific instructions.

You are encouraged to wear business attire. Appropriate attire includes a suit, slacks with a shirt and tie, a blouse and skirt/slacks, or a dress. Dress for Saturday's optional activities is casual.

All programming on Saturday, February 16, is optional. Programming on Sunday, February 17, is mandatory for you to be considered for the Presidential Fellows Program and scholarship.

7. What programming is available for my guest?

Choosing which college to attend is often a family decision-making process, so Miami has created a full day of programming for the parent or accompanying family member of the Finalist. Guests can expect a day that provides them with insights to various aspects of the Miami Experience including time with key offices and members of the Miami University community. For more details, visit the Guest Schedule of Events.

8. If I am unable to attend the Showcase, can I still be considered for the scholarship?

Participation in all of the activities on Sunday, February 17, is mandatory. Sunday’s programming is a critical component of the selection process.
