Forms, Deadlines, Cost and Financing
Forms and Deadlines
Priority applications have first choice of classes and deposits insure your place in the program once admitted. Students have always received at least one, if not usually both of their top two choices of classes.
While we encourage you to secure your spot in the program/classes by the Priority Deadline, deposits and applications are accepted until we are full on a case-by-case/rolling basis. You may submit applications without a deposit initially, which will keep you atop our waitlist.
- Housing form links and deposit instructions will be sent directly to approved applicants. You may select roommates on this form but this can also be done in the spring. No passport photos/pages are needed at the time of application either.
- Miami Education Abroad Application Form – After submitting the program's Course Selection Form (above), begin the Miami Education Abroad easy screening and approval process.

Global Initiatives accepts passport applications during business hours in MacMillan. Please note you must have *an official passport photo* available at MacMillan, local post offices, CVS, etc. - Independent Thematic Sequence/Forms

Costs and Financing
Because we know that many students and families must make a significant investment in study abroad, we strive hard to offer you an extremely good value and competitive cost for 6 weeks of study and living in central London, one of the world’s most expensive cities.
Summer programs are typically better values than January-term, or full-semester, or academic-year programs. Our program allows you to truly settle into life in London over 6 weeks, studying, working, and living as a true Londoner, without the hassle of transferring credits from external programs.
Students pay Miami tuition for 7-course credits and a Literary London program fee to AIFS, our London partners, that covers everything you do in London, including all accommodation and components (See Current Course Info/Program Components). Different payment options are available for both tuition and program fees. All payments are in USD$, guaranteed not to fluctuate with currency changes, which helps you keep a firm hold on your budget. See Forms/Deadlines (above) for a calendar of due dates. For interns, visa fees for UK Tier 4 visas (usually around $450) are paid directly to the UK government during the visa application process.
Miami Tuition
Tuition is paid on your regular basis, in-state or out-of-state, and placed on your Miami Bursar’s account.
Summer 2023 Miami tuition and fees (scroll down) will be set by Miami University later in 2022: tuition for 2021 was $593/credit for in-state students and $1011/credit for out-of-state students.
Lit London Program Fee
We have managed to keep the program fee typically below or right around $4,995. We work with our AIFS partners in London and CT to insure smooth payments and welcome on-site, but Literary London is entirely a Miami program.
Program fee deposits of $750 (check or credit card) paid to AIFS are applied to your balance. All accounts are invoiced professionally by AIFS in CT.
- Total fees of $4,995 for Literary London 2022 covered on-site costs for the whole 6 weeks—please see Current Course Info/Program Components for the extensive list of covered components. Fee excludes airfare, books, and non-group meals. Visa fees related to internships are paid directly to the UK government and/or to AIFS. Oystercards and group transport are covered upon arrival at your flats.
- Program fees for Literary London 2023 will cover a similar set of components and be approximately the same, depending on final enrollment. The minimum and maximum program fees will be spelled out in detail on your housing contract form, as well as a schedule of refunds should this be necessary. We also have suggestions for helping you keep costs down!
