Practicum Opportunities Fall 2024

Theatre practicum is a lab that allows any student to work on a theatre production backstage or on stage...and earn credit! Enrollment fulfills the experiential learning requirement of the Miami Plan.

Theater Practicum Time Requirements by Production

This semester we are producing one show in Studio 88 Theatre and one in the Gates-Abegglen Theatre. Positions are available both in the shops and on run crews.

Everybody

Cast, AD, SM Team*

1st Rehearsal and Company Meeting:

August 30th 6:00-10:00 pm

Rehearsals:

M-F, 9/3 to 9/24 6:00-10:00

No Rehearsal Monday 9/2 for Labor Day

Tech Rehearsals:

Sept. 25, 26, 27 6:30-11:00 Sept. 28 1-4

Dress Rehearsals:

Sept. 29, 30 and Oct. 1 6:00-11pm

Performances:
  • Oct. 2, 3, 4, at 7:30pm Cast Call 6-11pm
  • Oct. 5 at 7:30 with photo call at 6. 4:30-11pm
  • Oct. 6 at 2pm with strike following 12:30pm-9:00pm

*SM Times always extended by 15 minute on either side of earliest and latest call
