This October 6-8, audiences can take flight at Miami University Theatre’s new play, With Two Wings by Anne Negri.

The play’s synopsis goes as follows: “In a fantasy world where people have wings, Lyf lives an isolated existence. Though loving, Lyf’s parents have strict rules she must follow about avoiding strangers, covering herwings with a cloak, and always observing rule number one: never, ever try to fly. Will Lyf be grounded forever, or will the truth she discovers from a pair of young outsiders empower herto take flight? This coming-of-age story is a bittersweet, yet hopeful, tale that tackles the issue of parental disability with gentleness and grace.”

Grayson Walther, a sophomore theatre and speech pathology and audiology double major, plays the main character, Lyf. She encourages audiences to experience With Two Wings.

“I’m so excited to be able to share our hard work with the other students at Miami and the schools that are coming in to watch!” Walther said. “This show has come together so well and has so many nuanced characters, making it so meaningful and entertaining.”
